Kimberly Jordan

Instructor

Dr. Kimberly Jordan was born in Mobile, Alabama. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama (USA) in 2006. In 2011, she later received her Masters of Science in Nursing as an Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist from USA. Dr. Jordan recently completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Samford University. Currently, Dr. Jordan teaches at USA a a full-time instructor in the adult health department for the college of nursing. Dr. Jordan teaches in the undergraduate and graduate curriculum programs and serves on numerous committees within the college of nursing.

Dr. Jordan is a very caring and compassionate person who loves nursing and teaching. Her background includes 12 years of nursing experience. Dr. Jordan’s nursing areas consist of medical-surgical, long-term rehabilitation, orthopedics, telemetry, and cardiology. As a member of the Alabama State Nurses Association and Gulf Coast Organization of Nurse Executives, Dr. Jordan is an advocate for promoting excellence in nursing.

Dr. Jordan is a proud recipient of an internal grant from USA. Dr. Jordan along with collaborating colleagues have presented their work at conferences and are preparing a manuscript for submission. Additionally, Dr. Jordan has presented at multiple conferences on different nursing topics. Currently, Dr. Jordan has a manuscript under review with the Journal of Christian Nursing. Dr. Jordan is very passionate about the field of nursing and improving patient outcomes.
