Hung Sa Lee

Associate Professor

Professor Lee was born in Busan, South Korea. She earned her Doctoral degree in nursing and  Master’s Degree in public health from Seoul National University. She is a graduate of Seoul National University Home Care Nursing and certificate in home care nurse specialist, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Seoul National University. She had been worked in Seoul National University Hospital for fifteen years as a pediatric nurse and cardiology nurse manager. She is a Fellow of both the Korean Academy of Nursing and Korean Community Health Nursing Society. Currently, she works as a professor at the Department of Nursing Science, University of Sun Moon in Korea.

She is the editor of the Korean Academy of Community Health Nursing, and is a vice president of Korean Society for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. Lee is dominant leader in Long-term care for elderly, and works actively and enthusiastically. She researches with a high interest in the elderly long-term care for elderly. Lee is an energetic, motivating and highly skilled consultant specializing in Long-term care service for elderly in Korea. 

She has been conducted community service for a long time to improve the health of senior residents. From 2009 to 2014, she was a member of the Community Health and Welfare Committee. At that time, she developed and promoted a customized exercise program to improve the health of the elderly. Because of her dedication, Lee won the Power Bland Celebrity Award.

Lee has also been trying to work hard on international academic exchanges. She attended training program at the Georgetown University Hospital Heart Center and Home Care Agency at Washing D.C. In 2004, she was a visiting scholar in The University of Texas at Austin, School of Nursing. She participated International Nursing Conference, 1998 in Seoul and 2004 in Taiwan. As well she led the international exchange research between SunMoon University and Chang Gung University of Science and Technology in Taiwan led with Taiwan.

She is a Fellow of the Korean Academy of Community Health Nursing. She has published a number of articles, and has served as a peer review committee member of the journals. Author of over 50 peer-review manuscripts, her articles have been published in The Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing, Asian Nursing Research, Journal of Women & Aging. She is the author of several books, including Community Public Health Nursing, Health Education, Translation of Fundamental of Nursing, and Translation of Nursing Theorist and Their Works.
