Bernice Law Yee-Shui


Bernice was born in Hong Kong. She earned a Bachelor degree and a Doctoral of Philosophy in Nursing from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her clinical experience covers a variety of specialties, which includes neurosurgical, neuro-medical, surgical, ear, nose, throat, eye, oral maxillofacial surgeries and accident and emergency nursing. She also has overseas clinical experience in oncology and gerontology in Melbourne, Australia, as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shandong, China. Under the shaping of her past experience as a new graduate with strong passion to sustain good work despite all challenges in the complex healthcare landscape, Bernice is strongly interested to understand the meaning of mentoring newly graduated registered nurses in the transition and in the pursuit of good work by employing narrative inquiry as the research methodology in her doctoral study. She is now beginning her career in the academic and working as a lecturer at the Nethersole School of Nursing, the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
