The Journal of Materials Science publishes reviews, full-length papers, and short Communications recording original research results on, or techniques for studying the relationship between structure, properties, and uses of materials. The subjects are seen from international and interdisciplinary perspectives covering areas including metals, ceramics, glasses, polymers, electrical materials, composite materials, fibers, nanostructured materials, nanocomposites, and biological and biomedical materials. The Journal of Materials Science is now firmly established as the leading source of primary communication for scientists investigating the structure and properties of all engineering materials

The Journals reports principally the achievements of materials science and engineering all over the world, putting the stress on the original research papers, review articles invited by editor, letters, research notes with novelty as well as brief of scientific achievement, covering a broad spectrum of materials science and technology, encompassing:

Xibao Li

Associate Professor

Dr. Xibao Li was born on Nov. 1980. He is currently the Associate Professor at Nanchang Hangkong University, China. He received his Master and Ph.D. degree in Materials Science in 2007 and 2010, respectively. He is now a visiting scholar at the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University.

His research activities are mainly centered on the photocatalytic nanomaterials for pollutant degradation, high temperature resistant ceramic material, and photoelectric, electrical and thermal catalytic synergistic composites. He leads the activity on novel two-dimensional layered material based on g-C3N4/Graphene/MXene NS, multi-component heterojunctions and is the project leader for two projects on this subject. He currently initiates the activity on Photocatalysts based on BP/BiOX NS, and he is also involved in the exfoliation and self-assembly of BP/BiOX NS by improved liquid approach.

By the end of 2017, he had presided over and participated in 19 national, provincial and ministerial level research projects and published more than 40 papers, including more than 30 papers indexed by SCI and EI. He published more than 20 academic papers in the SCI journals of the first and second districts classified by the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
