The Journal of Materials Science publishes reviews, full-length papers, and short Communications recording original research results on, or techniques for studying the relationship between structure, properties, and uses of materials. The subjects are seen from international and interdisciplinary perspectives covering areas including metals, ceramics, glasses, polymers, electrical materials, composite materials, fibers, nanostructured materials, nanocomposites, and biological and biomedical materials. The Journal of Materials Science is now firmly established as the leading source of primary communication for scientists investigating the structure and properties of all engineering materials

The Journals reports principally the achievements of materials science and engineering all over the world, putting the stress on the original research papers, review articles invited by editor, letters, research notes with novelty as well as brief of scientific achievement, covering a broad spectrum of materials science and technology, encompassing:

Liangbao Jiang

Associate Professor

Dr. Liangbao Jiang, 35 years old. He is currently the associate professor at Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials (BIAM). He received his Bachelor degree in Materials Science at University of Jinan in 2006 and Master degree at Beijing Institute of Technology in 2008. In 2011, he received his Ph.D. degree in Physics at Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. During his PhD period, He has focused his research on the growth and physical properties of AlN crystal by PVT method. After a post-doctoral position at BIAM from 2011 to 2013, centered on the macroscopic and microscopic mechanical behavior of ion exchanged glass, He joined Department of Mechanical Engineering, Imperial College London, as the academic visitor from June 2013 to July 2014. Then, he returned to BIAM as associate professor in Transparency Division. His research activities are mainly centered on the preparation, mechanical properties and application of high strength glass. He leads the activity on ion exchanged aluminasilicate glass and is the project director for eight projects on this subject currently.

Dr. Liangbao Jiang has been published nearly 30 peer reviewed papers in: Journal of the American Ceramic Society, Scientific Reports, Applied Physics Letters, Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, Journal of Materials Science, Materials and Design, European Journal of Mechanics - A/Solids… He also has more than 20 Patents for Intention.
