The Journal of Materials Science publishes reviews, full-length papers, and short Communications recording original research results on, or techniques for studying the relationship between structure, properties, and uses of materials. The subjects are seen from international and interdisciplinary perspectives covering areas including metals, ceramics, glasses, polymers, electrical materials, composite materials, fibers, nanostructured materials, nanocomposites, and biological and biomedical materials. The Journal of Materials Science is now firmly established as the leading source of primary communication for scientists investigating the structure and properties of all engineering materials

Wenying Zhou


  • Dr. Wenying Zhou, 45 years old, is a professor working at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Xi’anUniversity of Science and Technology, the senior member of the China Institute of Composite Materials, and member of China Institute of Chemical Engineering.
  • He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science atNorthwestern Polytechnical University in 2007. During hisPh.D period, he has focus his research on the thermally conductive but insulating polymer composites. After obtaining the Ph.D degree, he worked in Xi’an Jiaotong University for 2 years as a research fellow, and His research interest focus on the polymer nanocomposite dielectrics for high voltage applications. Up to now, he works in Xi’anUniversity of Science and Technology. His research scope mainly focus on the following topics:thermally conductive polymer composites for electronic packaging and electrical insulating, polymer dielectrics for energy storage, advanced polymeric composites.
