The Journal of Materials Science publishes reviews, full-length papers, and short Communications recording original research results on, or techniques for studying the relationship between structure, properties, and uses of materials. The subjects are seen from international and interdisciplinary perspectives covering areas including metals, ceramics, glasses, polymers, electrical materials, composite materials, fibers, nanostructured materials, nanocomposites, and biological and biomedical materials. The Journal of Materials Science is now firmly established as the leading source of primary communication for scientists investigating the structure and properties of all engineering materials

The Journals reports principally the achievements of materials science and engineering all over the world, putting the stress on the original research papers, review articles invited by editor, letters, research notes with novelty as well as brief of scientific achievement, covering a broad spectrum of materials science and technology, encompassing:

Shuyu Sun


Dr. Shuyu Sun, 45 years old, is a materials scientist working at Taizhou University. he received his Master degree in materials science in 2008.  After that, he studied and worked in the State Key Laboratory of Metal Matrix Composites, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. A doctorate in materials science was obtained in 2013. During his PhD period, he has focused his research on in-situ synthesized Ti matrix composites. From 2012 to 2018, he still focuses his research on Ti alloys and Ti matrix composites.

His research work is mainly about material fabrication, phase transformation during thermal processing and heat treatment, and the effect of reinforcements in Ti matrix composites.
