The Journal also publishes work on the biology of reproduction, and content which provides insight into the physiology and mechanisms of obstetrical and gynecological diseases.

Gynecology “The science of women” is the medical practice dealing with the health of the female reproductive system (uterus, vagina, and ovaries). Obstetrics is the medical specialty dealing with the care of all women's reproductive tracts and their children during pregnancy (prenatal period), childbirth and the postnatal period. Majali-Martinez

Associate Professor

Professor Majali-Martinez was born in Alcala de Henares (Madrid, Spain). He studied Biology at the University of Alcala de Henares, spending his last year at the University of Tübingen (Germany). He earned a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Hertfordshire. He obtained his Ph.D. within the doctoral program “Molecular Fundamentals of Inflammation” at the Medical University of Graz (Austria), where he specialized in first-trimester trophoblast biology and function. He is an Associate Professor at the Universidad San Pablo CEU in Madrid (Spain).

Majali-Martinez is a diligent, highly-motivated professional with a great capacity for analysis and structured work. Despite beginning his career in 2013, he has already published 8 peer-reviewed manuscripts and have built an international cooperation network between centers working with state-of-the-art techniques in the field of trophoblast research. He has been a member of the Society of Reproductive Investigation (SRI) and has presented his work in several conferences worldwide. His communications have been awarded several prizes in the field of Gynecology and Obstetrics and Physiology.

Since 2017 Alejandro combines research with teaching at the Universidad San Pablo CEU (Madrid, Spain). Highly ranked by his students, Alejandro teaches Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the degrees of Medicine, Pharmacy and Biotechnology. He has successfully participated in workshops about innovation in education and leadership and was the co-organizer of two international congresses held at the Medical University of Graz.
