Use of the website www.helicsgroup.net will be under the guidance of these terms and conditions, at least to a minimum, referred to as the “Master Terms”. Apart from the Master Terms, your usage of the website will also be subject to the terms of any legal notice applicable to the website. Such terms that support the Mater Terms are referred to as “Additional Terms”. These two together i.e., the Master Terms and Additional Terms together constitute a binding legal agreement between you (the user) and the Polymer Society of Korea in order for you to use the website, and shall be referred to as the “Terms”. The Additional Terms shall be followed in the website where the Additional Terms apply, in case there is a conflict between the Master Terms and the Additional Terms.

Your Agreement to the Terms

Any user of the website who wishes to access the site www.helicsgroup.net in any way indicates that he/she has read and understood the terms and has consented to abide by these terms. The user also assumes the legal responsibility to accept these terms on their behalf or on the behalf of any other person or party represented by the user with relation to the usage of the website. Users who do not wish to comply with these terms are not permitted or authorized to access the website.

Changes to the Terms

The Helics Group retains the right to alter, remove, augment and amend the Terms at its discretion, in which case we shall notify the user with a post on the website of the updated Master Terms or Additional Terms along with the date of revision. You will also be notified via email or a display on the website regarding the changes to the Terms. Once notified, the changes will be immediately enforced and if you prefer to disagree with the updated Terms, you may discontinue your usage of the website. If you continue to use the website after the updated Terms have taken effect, it would mean that you have read, understood and agreed to abide by the updated terms.

Provision of the Website

The Helics Group has made the website available to users on the basis of the Terms and it is meant to be used only in strict adherence to the Master Terms and Additional Terms. The website shall absolutely not be used for unlawful or illegal activities or purposes prohibited by the Master Terms and relevant Additional Terms, which are listed on the website.

Authorization Policy

By registering to join with Helics Group, you are granting permission to our scientific network to photograph, film video footage and use your name, likeness, image, voice and comments and to publish, reproduce, exhibit, distribute, broadcast, edit and/or digitize images and materials in publications, advertising material or in any other form without compensation. Recording any session by taking photographs and/or videotaping by the participants is prohibited. In case of any queries, please contact us.

User Conduct

Users shall not use the website services to:

• Post, use or share content that does not belong to the user such as content which is protected by Intellectual property, confidentiality, privacy and similar laws.
• Post, use of share uninvited or unsanctioned content such as advertising, promotional material, ‘junk mail’, ‘spam’, ‘chain letters’, ‘pyramid schemes’ and related material.
• Post, use or share content carrying software viruses, computer code, files or programs that limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware as well as telecommunications equipment or affect or disrupt the provision of the website services or network servers or which does not conform to the requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of the website networks.
• Post or share damaging, aggressive, indecent, insulting, invasive of privacy, slanderous, hateful or prejudiced, dishonest and deceptive, inciting illegal activities or is against the pertinent laws and regulations.
• Post content meant to threaten or hassle other users.
• Attempt unlawfully to use the account, service or information of another user
• Eliminate, evade, deactivate, damage or otherwise compromise any security related features of the website
• Attempt to access the website, other accounts, computer systems or networks through unauthorized and unlawful means such as hacking, password mining, and other methods which would compromise or interfere with the services provided by the website and its proper functioning.
• Try to evade robot.txt or similar means used by the website to control access or use of website services.
• Impersonate or imitate a person or entity or falsify information regarding your affiliation with a person or entity.
• Post or share information which can be used to identify a person, particularly a child under the age of 14 years, on the website or to gain services from the website.

Terms Relating to Content

Responsibility for Content: The user must understand that all the material, data and evidence (collectively referred to as Content) which is available on the website is completely the responsibility of the person who has posted such material. Any remarks, opinions, implications, statements about the origin or proprietorship of the content solely belongs to the person who has posted such material. The Helics Group does not accept responsibility for any exemplifications or pledges regarding the correctness, veracity or quality of the content made by the users of the website. The user must understand that he/she may come across content that may be offensive, obscene or objectionable while browsing the website and Helics Group is not liable in any form for such unfortunate content which may be infringing, erroneous, lead to loss or damages due to posting, linking or being made available on the website.

Content You Provide: The user can upload or submit content, provided it has been generated by the user, or is openly accessible in the public domain or after being granted express permission to submit the content and the content is permitted as per the Terms. To be extremely clear, users are strongly requested not to upload content that may compromise the rights of another person or party and by uploading or submitting or posting any content on the website services, the user assures that the content does not compromise on the right of a third party, as well as copyrights, trademark, privacy policy, publicity, personal or proprietary rights, or comprises libelous, insulting or illegal material. The users are also strongly advised to never post information that may allow someone to identify you. Helics Group will review your posts and moderate the suitability. Unsuitable content that may be offensive, unlawful, and invasive of privacy and rights, harm the safety or intimidate others shall be removed at the discretion of the Helics Group and all decisions are final. The Helics Group does not validate or support the content posted by the users on the website and the sole responsibility for the content including creating required back up of the content, replacing content created by the user lies with the user who posts such material on the website. The user, after posting or sharing content, provides Helics Group with the right to duplicate the content as suitable so as to enable posting of the content on the website.

Use of Content on the Website: The user agrees to utilize information and content resources available on the Helics Group Website as per license agreement. The user must be aware that he/she agrees to be entirely responsible for the nature of content that may be encountered on the website and must be aware that the Helics Group in no way authenticates the content, origin, proprietorship, correctness, comprehensiveness or dependability of the same. The user may be sure of on the content after using independent discretion to validate its accuracy, ownership, origin, correctness, comprehensiveness and dependability. Despite best efforts to avoid such situations, Helics Group is not responsible for the content on the website violating the rights of any third party.

Registered Users

Users who wish to register to the services provided on the website and create an account on the website must (1) be over the age of majority in the jurisdiction of the user or (2) be over the age of 14 years and have the permission of a legal guardian to become a Registered User and avail the services provided to registered users and to follow the terms and conditions set out by the Master Terms and any pertinent Additional Terms in their entirety. The accounts and related services of registered users may be modified or withdrawn by the Helics Group at any time and The Helics Group Leadership and Committees absolves itself of all legal responsibility to the registered users.

Security: It is the responsibility of the user to (a) provide correct, up to date and complete information about himself/herself, during the time of registration on the website, (b) keep their log in credentials such as identification and password safe and secure, (c) maintain registration information and keep it up to date and accurate by regularly updating the personal and contact information and (d) take responsibility for the account and all activities that take place through the account. The user shall not create an account on the behalf of someone else since it would compromise the security of the account and is against the terms of the website.

Termination and Inactivation of User Accounts: If any user is found to violate any of the Master terms or the pertinent Additional Terms, their status as a Registered User is terminated spontaneously. Apart from this, the Helics Group reserves the right to (a) alter, interrupt or terminate operation to the user account due to any reason, (b) alter or modify the website and services as well as Terms and policies of the user account for any reason and (c) suspend user accounts and related website services for any reason, as seen fit by the Helics Group at any time, for any reason, without notice. Helics Group also holds the right to destroy user accounts and wipe away or delete all content of account holders who have been inactive on the website for extended periods of time.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Helics Group Scientific Network offers the website and services on an as-is basis in the present circumstances and does not give any assurances and bears no obligations regarding this as permitted by the law. The Helics Group provides no guarantees that the services or functions contained in the website will be factually correct and free of errors or uninterrupted, that Helics Group bears no responsibility to correct incorrect content or for any harmful viruses and such content on the servers. The Helics Group does not guarantee the correctness, dependability or any other aspect of the content posted on the website.

Limitation of Liability

The Helics Group Leadership and Committees are not responsible or legally accountable in any way for the content posted on the website to be used via the website services.

Privacy Policy

The Helics Group Scientific Network and Leadership promise the user of utmost care and responsibility while handling user data and information collected via the website as per the Privacy Policy and Terms. The Privacy Policy is hereby mentioned in the Master Terms for reference.

Copyright Complaints

The Helics Group forbids its users to submitting, uploading, sharing or posting any work that would encroach upon intellectual property rights of another party. The Helics Group Scientific Network is ever respectful of the Intellectual property rights and in no way would willingly infringe on these rights.

Helics group website is maintained by the third party, and Helics group is not responsible for any copy right content. if you have any issues with content, images, videos and any other materials you can email us at helicsgroup@gmail.com/ phone. After receiving your issues/ queries/complaints Helics group notify and acknowledge you with complaint number & will forward to the third party and will be resolved within the time which is mentioned in acknowledgment.

Termination of this Agreement

The Master Terms and Additional Terms are valid and apply unless either you or the Helics Group choose to terminate them. If you happen to breach any of the Terms of the website, you will automatically forfeit your right to access the website and its services. The Helics Group reserves the right to (a) alter, suspend or terminate the operation or access to any service for any reason (b) amend or change the website services, or any section of the website services or Master Terms, Additional Terms and other Policies regarding the proper use of this website for any reason (c) interject the operation of the website services, for any reason at any time, as seen fit by the Helics Group Scientific Networks, Leadership and Committees. Helics Group will attempt to alert users in advance regarding any alteration, suspension or termination of material on the website if the material has not infringed on any Terms of the Helics Group Scientific Networks.

Payment Information

Payment in US dollars must be made by personal or corporate wire transfer, or by Master Card, Visa or American Express credit card. Payments should be made payable to: "corresponding Conference". All Conference attendees, including invited speakers, must pay registration fees.

All Registrations must be accompanied by FULL payment and must be received before the event date.

Conference Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of advance registration must be submitted in writing through email

1. If a registrant is unable to attend an event for any reason they may substitute, by arrangement with the registrar, someone else from the same institute/organization.
2. If a registrant is unable to attend, and providing the conference organizers are informed in writing by the final date for payment that is displayed on the website for the event in question, a registrant can leave the fee paid with the organizers as payment towards a place at the same event or another Academic Conferences event that takes place in the 12 months following the originally booked event. In the case of a contributing author, the paper will not be published in the Conference Proceedings if the fee is held over for another conference.
3. Where the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her place to another person or to another event, then the following refund arrangements apply:
4. Registrations cancelled on the same day/ same month will be refunded 50% of the registration fees.
5. Registrations cancelled more than 60 days before the event will be refunded 60% of the registration fees.
6. Registrations cancelled less than 60 but more than 30 days before the event will be refunded 75% of the registration fees.
7. Registrations cancelled less than 30 days before the event will not be eligible for a refund.
8. Registrations from authors cancelled as a result of a paper not being accepted will be refunded 70% of the registrations fees. The remaining 30% of the fee contributes to administration costs incurred.
9. Cancellations from authors made after a failed visa application will be refunded the registration fees paid in excess of 50%, which covers the costs associated with processing the paper. In this event, the paper will still be published in the conference proceedings and delegates will receive an electronic copy of the proceedings. Early bird Student registrations are not refundable in this instance.
10. Cancellations from non-authors made after a failed visa application will be refunded the registration fees paid less an administration charge of 50% participant registered.
11. Conference proceedings for registered participants who are for whatever reason unable to attend will be mailed by regular email to the address we have on file. This will only be done once. Should you have to withdraw please ensure we have your correct mailing address on file.
12. In the event that printed proceedings have been ordered and the participant is unable to attend, additional postage charges may be applied.
13. No refunds will be issued after the cancellation deadline * after the event date

    Important note for failed visa applications

    Notification must be received by us in writing (email or fax) not later than 45 (forty five) working days before the conference starts* for refunds to be eligible. Cancellations received after this cut-off time will not be eligible for refund. * Saturday and Sunday do not count as working days.

    Refunds will be made in the following ways:

    1. For payments received by credit or debit cards, the same credit/debit card will be refunded.
    2. For all other payments, a bank transfer will be made to the payee nominated account.

    Please note: For payments received from outside the USA by bank transfer, the refund will be made by bank transfer and all bank charges will be for the registrants account along with processing charges.

14. Miscellaneous Terms

The agreement between the user and the Helics Group has been outlined by the Master Terms and this gains precedence and outweighs all previous, synchronous or future communication between the user and the Helics Group.

The Terms of Use listed above are Effective as of December 2016. The policy as stated on this page is valid from June 2015.
