The Journal of Materials Science publishes reviews, full-length papers, and short Communications recording original research results on, or techniques for studying the relationship between structure, properties, and uses of materials. The subjects are seen from international and interdisciplinary perspectives covering areas including metals, ceramics, glasses, polymers, electrical materials, composite materials, fibers, nanostructured materials, nanocomposites, and biological and biomedical materials. The Journal of Materials Science is now firmly established as the leading source of primary communication for scientists investigating the structure and properties of all engineering materials

The Journals reports principally the achievements of materials science and engineering all over the world, putting the stress on the original research papers, review articles invited by editor, letters, research notes with novelty as well as brief of scientific achievement, covering a broad spectrum of materials science and technology, encompassing:

Yanlin SONG

Professor

Prof. Yanlin Song is the director of Key Laboratory of Green Printing, Institute of Chemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences, Distinguished Young scholar and Chang Jiang scholar, Vice-president of the Chinese Printer Consumable Products Industry Association, expert of International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), etc. Based on the innovation of nanomaterials assembly and surface patterning, Prof. Yanlin Song accomplished the green printing technology, which includes green print plate-making, green plate and green ink techniques. Moreover, the green printing technology has been used for printed electronics and printing manufacture. He has published more than 300 academic papers in scientific journals with citations more than 10,000 times, 1 book and 9 chapters, and has been granted more than 100 patents from different countries. He won the First Prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award in 2016, the Second Prize of National Natural Science Award in 2008 and 2005, The China Youth Science and Technology Award, The National Excellent Scientific and Technological Practitioner Awards, etc.
